Mafia: Revived

Llamalover brought this in a while ago, I'm one of his friends.

Basically, this game is sort of a Detective-like card game. What it is, is that you have 4 important people.

1. The Narrator - The Narrators job is to, well, narrate. He's the one "in charge". He never loses the game. He's the only one that knows who everyone is.
2. The Mafia - The second most important guy. The one everyone wants to 'find'.
3. The Spy - He can try and figure out what the others are, cept the Narrator, everyone knows who the Narrator is.
4. The Doctor - He can save people from the Mafia.

Anyway, what happens is The Narrator will PM the Mafia, and ask them "Who do you want to 'kill'?" The Mafia will pick someone. Then, the Narrator will message the Spy, and ask them "Who do you want to spy on?" The Spy will reply to the Narrator one of the players. The Narrator will then tell the Spy if that player is the Mafia or not. Then the Narrator will message the Doctor and say "Who do you want to save?" The Doctor will then pick a player, and that player, if the Mafia picked that player, Doesn't die. After that, the Narrator will post in this Topic Who died. That's when people begin to make accusations as to who the Mafia member might be. Whoever gets the most votes is out. If its the Mafia member, the game ends. If its not the mafia member, the game continues.

You do not say what you are till AFTER the game ends. That way, people don't know if the Doctor or Spy had been killed off yet.

To decide what each person is, For the card game, the narrator takes a Queen, King, and a Jack, and for each player beyond the first three, a number card. Whoever gets a number card is just a civilian. Whoever gets the queen is the Spy. Whoever gets the King is the Doctor. Whoever gets the Jack is the Mafia.

We need a pretty good amount of People, so if enough people join up, I'll be the first narrator.

My friend tried to teach me this game, but I didn't get it
(and we didn't have enough people anyways)

It's sounds fun, although I'm still confused...


So let me get this straight, Narrator is kinda like the Banker in Monopoly. He/she doesn't actually play, he or she just keeps order and stuff. And nobody can say what they are until the end.

Then the Mafia picks a player to kill, and tells the Narrator.
Then the Spy picks a player to spy on, and tells the Narrator.
Then the Doctor picks a player to save, and tells the Narrator.
Then the Civilians just sit there and twiddle their thumbs.

If the doctor saves the same person that the Mafia tries to kill, then that person is saved.
If the person the Spy picked is the Mafia, then the Narrator will tell that him/her.

Then afterwords, the Narrator says who died, and everyone votes on who the Mafia is. If the person is innocent, the game continues.

Though I have some questions:

When you say

And what about "For the forum game", how will we decide?
And can the Mafia kill him or herself?
Can the Doctor save him or herself?

I really don't think that killing people off is a very good forum game. *closed*
