The Story of Jack

Ever heard of the story of Jack? I'm not talking about Jack and the beanstalk. The story goes something like this...

"Once upon a time there was a boy named Jack who lived with his mother. Every day, Jack would go to work for a farmer. And every day, the farmer would pay Jack with something, and Jack would bring it home."

"One day, Jack went to work as usual. At the end of the day, the farmer paid him a pound of butter. Jack put the butter in his pocket, and went home. By the time he got home, the hot summer sun had melted the butter all over his pants. His mother was very angry with Jack. 'JACK, you noodlehead! Next time... NEXT time, wrap it in wet banana leaves and carry it home!'"

"The next day, Jack went to work, and was paid a pet cat. Jack wrapped the cat in wet banana leaves and carried the cat home. The wet cat scratched and hissed and meowed like crazy. When Jack came home, he was covered in scratches and holding an angry wet cat wrapped in shredded wet banana leaves. His mother was very angry with Jack. 'JACK, you noodlehead! Next time... NEXT time, put it on a leash and walk it home!'"

"The next day, Jack went to work, and was paid a leg of ham. Jack put the ham on a leash and walked the ham home. The ham dragged on the ground, attracting a pack of dogs, who ate the ham. When Jack came home, he had a bone on a leash and a pack of stray dogs with him. His mother was very angry with him. 'JACK, you noodlehead! Next time... NEXT time, carry it home!'"

"The next day, Jack went to work, and was paid with a horse. Jack carried the horse home on his back. The horse did not like to be carried, so as Jack (attempted to) walk, the horse kicked Jack and ran away. Jack returned home with a bruise, but otherwise empty-handed. His mother was very angry with him. "JACK, you noodlehead! Next time... NEXT time, sit on it and ride it home!'"

"The next day, Jack went to work as usual..."

And here is where the games begin! Each person posts what Jack gets paid with, continuing the story and ending with what Jack's mother says. The next person, and the next, etc. It doesn't have to follow the exact wording, or if your name is Jack and you're offended, you can even change the name. Try and make it funny and/or wacky (you can even say that he was paid with some ice cream and aliens who liked ice cream stole it, whatever!) , but still make sense.
