Okay, chapter 2 I wrote in 3nd grade, then edited it in 4rd grade. Now I'm in
6th grade, and to me this isn't very good, but it's somewhat important and I'm too tired to edit it right now. So, this will just have to do. But I do have to say, I wasn't bad for as young as I was. But like I said, don't have high expecations for this part.

Chapter 2: Part 2

I opened my eyes and saw everyone crowded around my bed, everyone except for Megan and Ashley. “W- where am I?” I stammered. “You’re in the hospital. The fire fighters found you on the ground. Thankfully, Goldie lead them to you. We thought we had lost all of our children.”
“Lost all of your-,” I gasped. I suddenly remembered what had happened.
“Megan and Ashley, where are they?”
“They’re next door.”
“Are they alive?”
“Yes.”
The doctor walked into my hospital room. “Okay, Sarah, Mr. Parker, and Mrs. Parker, visiting hours are over. Please come back tomorrow. In the mean time, Kelly and I will check her memory. The fire fighters say it looked like Kelly had hit her head pretty hard on the ground, so we’ll see how much she can remember. If the results say that Kelly’s memory is fine, she can come home tomorrow.” Sarah and my parents walked out of the room, closing the door behind them. After the doctor had run some tests, he handed me a sheet of paper that said:
My name is:
I am _ years old.
I live in:
My best friend is:
My school is:
My teacher’s name is:
My mom’s names is:
My dad’s name is:
I haves _ pet(s).
“Please fill out the following, and I’ll go check on your sisters.” The doctor left. I filled out the form:
My name is: Kelly Isabelle Parker
I am 14 years old.
I live in:
I crossed that one out and wrote, “I used to live in: an apartment” next to it. Then I continued.
My best friend is: Sarah Sanchez
My school is: Harbor High
My teacher’s name is: Ms. Howard
My mom’s name is: Carol Parker
My dad’s name is: Jason Parker
I have one pet(s).
I put it on the table nest to me and looked around. There was a TV in the left corner. There were three chairs by the door, and a bouquet of flowers on the table next to me. I opened the card. It read,
“Dear Kelly,
We are very proud of you for trying to save your sisters. You’ve proven to us that you are very brave. We love you and hope you get better soon.
Love,
Carol and your Dad”
The doctor came in. “How are Megan and Ashley?” I asked. “They’re doing fine. If you did well on the worksheet, they can go home with you tomorrow,” he replied. He took the test from my table, and started to hum. “Alright. You and your sisters can go home tomorrow. Get a good night’s sleep. You can watch TV and order dinner whenever you’d like. Here’s the remote.” He put the remote on the table next to me. “Are you comfortable?”
“Yes.”
“Good. Here’s the menu. Just press this button whenever you’re ready to order.” He handed me the two items.
“See you tomorrow!” The doctor walked out of the room. I turned on the TV and watched cartoons, then looked over at the clock. It was 6:00 and I was getting hungry. I looked at the menu. I was stuck between the macaroni and cheese and the chicken. Then the steak caught my eye. It came with a salad and mashed potatoes. I dropped the menu and rang the buzzer. About two minuets later, a maid came walking through the door. “What would you like?” She was standing with a notepad in her hand. “I’d like the 7 ounce steak please.” I said.
“Alright, anything else?” “That will be all, thank-you.” I said. She started to walk out. “Wait, I have a question. Doesn’t it ever get tiring always taking people’s orders?” I asked. “Yes, it does. Sometimes, I wish I came to America to follow my dream, which was NOT to be a maid, that’s for sure.”
“What was your dream?”
“To be a singer. My parents always told me I had a great voice. But that’s WAY far off.”
“No, it’s not. Can you sing something for me?”
I think she sang a song from an old movie, but I can’t be sure.
“That’s beautiful!” I said. “So, what’s stopping you now?”
“You’re right! Thanks, um,”
“Kelly. Kelly Parker.”
“Thanks Kelly Kelly!”
“No, its-” She closed the door before I could correct her.

The next day, my parents picked my sisters and me up from the hospital. They took us back to the apartment so we could get our things. Luckily, nothing of ours was destroyed in the fire, except for my favorite outfits! My other ones looked like something I would’ve worn when I was
five. We met at the park to discus where we were going to move. We sat down at a bench. “So, where exactly are we going to live?” I asked. “Well, your grandparents used to own some property down in Georgia,” Carol said. “And when they sold it they turned it into a neighborhood. We were thinking about moving down there.” “Oh, yeah. What was the name of that neighborhood again?” I asked. “Pine Creek.” Dad said. “We called your grandparents and asked them to send us some pictures of them, that way we could decide which one we wanted and not have to rent a car to drive down there, and then drive back up.”
“May I see the photos?”
“Yes.”
Carol handed me the package and I looked at all of the pictures. “If you ask me, I like 397 the best,” I said. We all agreed to this decision, and planned to move in a week. In the meantime, we planned to stay in a hotel, and put our furniture into storage. Sarah had to move to Charleston, South Carolina, but my mom promised we could still call, e-mail, and IM each other. On the bad side, we could never see each other again, or at least until we moved out and went to collage. Our parents didn’t feel like driving all the way to Charleston just to see each other, and they defiantly couldn’t afford to fly. My mom explained once we got to the hotel that Augusta is very different than New York, but I was too busy watching cartoons to listen. Sleeping with Megan and Ashley was terrible!!! Ashley snores like a pig and Megan grinds her teeth. Tomorrow we were going to move, and I couldn’t wait for my own room!
On Saturday, we started packing. Trust me that was not fun! Although I did find a couple of interesting things, like my hairbrush was under Megan’s bed. Anyways, once we were all packed up, I had to help put the boxes in the moving truck. Because Megan and Ashley were still young, they didn’t have to do that. I sure wished I were in elementary school. “Carol, can I at least say good-bye to Sarah?” I asked. “No, it’s 9:00 pm, they’re probably sleeping,” Mom told me. I turned around crying, wishing I could have said good-bye. Ashley had to go to the bathroom, so we stopped at a gas station. Sarah’s car was in the parking lot! We got there just as they were about to leave. Sarah and I got out of the car. We hugged and then cried. “What are you doing out here?” Sarah asked. “Shouldn’t you be on your way to your new house?” “Ashley had to go to the bathroom. Sometimes little sisters come in handy,” I told her. Then we cried some more. “Oh, I got you something,” Sarah said. She took a bracelet off her wrist. “Your lucky wristband? You don’t have to do that,” I said. “But I
want to,” she insisted. “I got something for you, too.” I took a stone out of my pocket. “Oh, a rock,” She said disappointingly. “And,” I pulled something out of my book bag. “A snow globe!” It had the Eiffel Tower in it. I bought it when I went to Paris and met a famous fashion designer. Then we hugged one more time, got in the car, and drove away.
Our house was beautiful once we saw it in person. We pretty much lived in a mansion! We had garnet counter tops with a bar in the kitchen, 5 ½ baths, six bedrooms, a finished basement with a media room (where we would put a big screen TV), and to top it all off, a library. Ashley and Megan have a Jack and Jill, so they don’t have to share a room. I, however, have my own room and bathroom. Carol and my dad sleep in the master room, of course. Oh, and did I mention it had a gigantic back yard for Goldie? Yeah, everyone was happy. Everyone except for me.

Ok before you start nagging at me for suddenly changing the wording (like now it says "I said" instead of "Kelly said"). That's the way I wrote then I was 8. I liked to do a lot of narratives. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME IT WILL BE "I SAID". From here on out it will be "Kelly said". Thanks for your understanding.

Like I said, I didn't really feel like rewriting that part. I wrote it in 3rd grade so give me a break. Chapter 3 will be MUCH better.

Yeah I started it in 3rd grade and I went back, read it, and realized it was really cruddy.
