I wrote a story online about the people from RENT as kids going to a carnival! Does anybody want to read it? Well I'm posting it anyway.
Chapter 1: Arrival
Mark and Roger, expert 5 year olds, sat in Mrs. Cohen's car, driving to the carnival. Roger was hyper from the chocolate he had eaten before, and never stopped asking
"ARE-WE-THERE-YET-ARE-WE-THERE-YET?!" . Mark was looking longingly out the window, wondering when his first carnival would begin. After Mrs. Cohen threatened to turn the car around if Roger didn't stop screaming, he decided to tell Mark what carnivals were like, being to three of them with big brother Mike, who was in the third grade (and very very wise).
"There's so much great stuff, Mawk!" he started, "There's giant swings that go around and around without anyone havin' to push 'em, and a bunch of horsies that go round and round, and cotton candy, apples with sticky stuff that makes it too hard to bite, and giant cups that spin around, and the best ride is the Half Moon! You go in a big pirate ship, and it swings up and down like a swing, only a gazillion times bigger!" Mark couldn't wait to get there.
Finally, the car pulled up in front of the huge cups Roger had mentioned. When they got there, they saw their friends Angel and Tom, Tom with a cone filled past the brim with big pink stuff, Angel with her pretty girl hair and a humongous chocolate bar. "Where's Mimi,Benny, and Maureen and Joanne?" Mark asked, looking for his other friends. "There's Mimi, in the cups!" Roger answered. It was true, Mimi was screaming in joy as she made her cup spin faster than everyone else. "And Maureen's on the horsies. But where are Benny and Joanne?" "Um, guys, Joanne's buying a Super Big Gulp, but there's something we have to tell you about Benny." Tom answered, not making eye contact."What happened?" Mark questioned, "Did he get sick?"
"Uh, actually no," Tom continued, "But I guess we gotta tell you sometime. Guys, Benny is..."

AN-I forgot a disclaimer in my last chapter so...I don't own RENT, the carnival, things you might find in the carnival, Super Big Gulps, Titanic, and somewhere, somebody probably put a copyright on the phrase "Boring Stupido", so I don't own that either. On with the story!
"What, Tom?" Roger asked, "What happened to Benny?" Mark looked worried. What if Benny fell off his bike and had to go to the hospital? What if he was sick and throwing up? What if...
"Well guys," Angel said, "Benny decided not to come. He said that carnivals were dangerous and boring!" Mark and Roger gasped while Tom just looked at the ground. They didn't even notice Mimi, Joanne, and Maureen join the group. Joanne sipped her Super Big Gulp for a little while before she asked,
"Why are you guys so sad?"
'Benny didn't come because he thinks carnivals are boring," Mark said.
"You guys are sad because of THAT?!" Maureen asked. "Who cares if Benny's not here?! Let's have fun without that Boring...uh...uh..."
"Stupido?" Mimi suggested.
"Yeah, stupido! Let's have fun without that boring stupido!" Maureen said. "C'mon, let's go on the big swings!"
"OK" Everyone agreed happily. They ran to the swings, singing "Benny's a boring stupido! Benny's a boring stupido!" until they reached the swings.
"Wow," Mark said as he gaped at the seats that swung around, just like a merry go round.
"Mawk! It's our turn! Time to go on the spin swings!" Roger called. Mark ran after his friend in awe. How could he be so calm when the most amazing thing in the world was standing right in front of them? They ran onto the swings and Tom 'warned'
"Mark, you better be careful, 'cause this is the funnest ride ever, and you might have more fun than you have ever had in your life."
"So why do I need to be careful?"
"You don't. I just like to mess with you." The ride started and Mark realized that this WAS fun! It was just like at home when him and Roger would spin around until they fell, dizzy, and laughing in joy. Except here, the swings did the spinning for you! Mark lifted up his hands and screamed, Mimi let the wind catch her hands, Angel and Tom held hands like the best friends they were, Roger and Mureen tried to stand up like the "I Can Fly" moment in "Titanic". Right before the ride stopped, everyone on the ride heard Mark scream "My scarf!"
