Chapter 1

Rathgar walked down the empty dirt path, looking around nervously. He was waiting for something, he just didn't know what. Then, out of the cold night sky, a man appeared. He walked over to Rathgar and handed him something. Then as soon as he came, he was gone. Rathgar ran down the path, trying not to drop what he was carrying. He didn't realize what he was carrying could be the end of the world. He opened the door to his home slowly, trying not to drop the egg. This was no ordinary egg. It was a dragon's egg. " At last! I have the egg of a rare Klomen Red Leather Dragon!" he called out into the vast emptiness of his home.


There was a knock on the door. Rathgar slowly went over to the door and opened it. " I need the egg!" the person at the door shouted and knocked Rathgar off his feet. Rathgar slowly got up and ran after the man. He picked up a sword and followed closly behind the theif.

The theif raced out of the room, carrying the egg. Rathgar was ready and slashed the sword, slicing the man's throat. " What have I done!?" he asked, raged.
