my school dance is tomorrow too!! acctually, we call it mixers at my school, anyway we are having one of the hottest radio stations there and a huge $2,000 DJ and a screen to show music videos. plus food and prizes!! its really cool

I wish our school had something like that. We just have a local DJ...pretty much the cheapest we could afford on our school fundraising budget...haha.
Our dance was pretty cool. They had this cool light show on the ceiling, a big one. There wasn't much in the way of decorations besides some red and black streamers (our school colors). They had a DJ too, and you could make requests. They also had this thing called "snowball", where people would request couples to slow dance, then they had to pick other people to dance with, on and on and on until they had everyone dance. I didn't slow dance with anyone besides my friends though...but that was okay.

Our school has a couple of dances through the year. We are included in with the high school, but middle school has to leave earlier. They aren't anything too special. A few high school kids DJ and there's usually some snacks and drinks, that's all.
I'm having a Homecoming Dance tomorrow. We don't really dress up much, we're just wearing regular stuff. I'm not going with anyone, though. I plan to go and have fun with my friends.
Hopefully we'll have a good DJ who plays Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson!
