Well they got a new 7th and 8th grade english teacher
just found out he sent a letter about himself to my parents and the other parents of his students so i thought i would write from reading this letter what I like and don't like about him and rumors at my school oh and i wonder if he is teaching advanced english and regular english (im pretty sure im in advanced) oh and he is a boy teacher Rumors: They are replacing the retired girl teachers with boy teachers because they think boy teachers will be stricter

what i like about him: Well qualified
Suspicions:Why is he teaching at are small school if he is so qualified
What I dont like: He used my real name (I always go by nickname because my real name is way too uncommon so i only use it at church)
Why I dont like him: If he sent out a letter about himself then he thinks to much of himself
Why I dont like him: If he has all these qualifications he must be old
Why I do like him: He typed the letter so he must know how to use a computer
Suspicions: If he is old how could he know how to work a computer did he have the computer teacher type it?
Why I don't like him: His name sounds funny

You shouldn't be saying that they are getting the female teachers out and replacing them with male teacher, because they will be more strict- It comes off as a sexist comment. A rumor is a rumor- you shouldn't believe anything unless you have full proof.


Many teachers are well qualified. This doesn't mean that they are the best teacher or the worst teacher either. Why cant somebody work at a smaller school if they are "well qualified"? I live in a small town and go to a private school- We have many teachers that have taught in Colleges. They are hired to make a better learning experience for the students.


Many teachers will go by your name that is given on the class listings. If you have a problem with them using your real name then simply just ask them to call you by your nickname if its reasonable.


I think it is kind of rude that you think this new teacher thinks too much of themselves for just sending out a letter to the parents. Many teachers will do this for many reasons. If they are new to the school they are just letting people know a little about them, and they could also be new to the community. Letters are sent out so you get to know them people, so when you see them you dont always go: "Who's that?".


Just because they have so many qualifications does not necessarily mean that they are old(er). Either way- age does not matter; They were hired because they will give you the necessary learning to the fullest. Age shouldn't matter, because they are there to teach you things- not be your best friend. Btw, why would it matter about how old they are?


This next comment by you kind of came off rude as well. Most to all teachers know how to use a computer as it's necessary for there job. You dont have to be a computer teacher or expert to type out a letter. Its kind of offending when you say your kind of say that old(er) people can not/do not know how to type or use a computer. My grandparents use the computer and are fine with it.


His name shouldn't matter. You're there to learn- not play. Remember to respect everyone at all times

2. i heard that rumor months before he even sent out this letter and the proof is the subs have been all male this year and last year they got a male 1st grade teacher and not a male 7th and 8th grade teacher so i bet the other new teacher is male too
3.Because are school and the high school don't have the best rep
4.If he dosen't end up calling me by my nickname i will go crazy
5.I thought if he sent out a letter he could have tryed telling parents what kind of things he will teach his students and maybe even wait to see if they are in his english or reading class
6.One he is old because his qualifications teaching students and going college must have took at least 14 years and if he is old it matters because older people tend to be sometimes a little boring the other teachers are living proof
7.Just saying some older people can't take my aparents for example when they were on the computer they picked the mouse up and waved it in the air thinking thats how you use it
8. I just thought his name was funny it has the word old in it (just to let you know thatisnt really revealing a name because its kinda long

Him and the school counselor are threatening to take me out of advanced classes and he told me mom I think too much of my abilities! I mean I asked the girl at my table what she thinks and she says that ridiculas She's getting a worse grade then me but yet I might get kicked out of advanced classes and all because I'nm not organized enough

You should probably try solving that problem instead of complaining about it.

I got a 6 subject pocket folder. I labeled it with all my classes. I put handouts and homework in it.

Get a pencil and pen pouch too.
