Do you usually bring your summer reading books to school on the first day in middle school? I've asked around from kids in my school, and they weren't really sure either. I don't want to start my school year unprepared, and I know you guys probably aren't from my school, how is it done in your districts? Do you bring your summer reading list books? Also, what books are you reading for the reading list if you have one?
I'm reading "Petey" by Ben Mikaelson (required) and "Once Upon a Marigold" by Jean Ferris.

Yeah I finished it :-) I thought it was awesome. I didn't really expect the book to be terrific (because a teacher chose it!) but it was a lot better than I expected!

yea, i totally understand the teacher thing! but my science teacher last year was really young so she was pretty cool and had good books.
We didn't have to bring our books on the first day, but we did talk about them a bit. It might be helpful to bring your books, but most kids don't even read the book, so you definitely wouldn't be unprepared.
