Speech!!! :)

Ok, most likely none of you have speech teams at your school but some schools do and what it is is that we do a monolouge or a short acting thing by yourself or a duet where you do a short acting thing with a partner.
I was supposed do do mine with a partner but she dropped out so I only had 3 weeks left to prepare or 6 practice times. And when competeion came along I tried my best. We are rated on a scale of 1 to 3 1 is very good 2-good 3- to me is horrible. i got a 1 and so did about half the team.Then there is another thing you can get. A judge's choice award. Each judge sees about 15 acts from diffrent schools and maybe some from the same school and they choose one as their favorite. And that person goes to state! And well....THEY CHOOSE ME! Two other acts were chosen from are team but my coach asked everyone to give me another round of applause at are teams little award ceremony (pizza party). The only other 7th grader said Congrats to me but I knew he was angry because he told me that he hopes he gets it before. We have about 35 people on the team (Actually were separated into two teams) but I was one of the 5 chosen (The other 5 were duets)
I can't believe I'm going to state. Me the girl who turned red after her speech was finished! Me the girl who isolates herself from others! Me the computer and math geek! I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT It's A DREAM COME TRUE! I love to act because I love to be anyone but myself so I dedicated myself to it and I pulled through. Also The other Speech Coach (the one I had for the last 2 years) told my mom that next year they are going to force me to do it be myself because I work good alone lol. For the last 2 years I did duets and got 2nds both times.
