I learned on a feild trip for Chorus that 'Vegetarian' means 'bad hunter'. But, anyways, if we only ate plants and not animals....what would happen if we couldn't find anymore edibal (sp?) plants? There are tons of animals, but not plants. You have to either eat the animals or die. Do or die....hmm....what would you pick? I'd pick eat the animals.

I'm a vegetarian, and I am not *dying*. I'm perfectly fine, better than before. Vegetarianism is perfectly fine for me.
And in some countries, they eat dogs. Would you like to eat dogs Doggie<3er? Because they find that acceptable in some countries.
And as for the difference from eating meat and animal abuse, you are right in some ways. But do you know where meat often comes from? Slaughter houses, where they hang cows upside down and chop them up. I'm sorry but it's the sad truth
It's fine to eat meat and be against animal abuse, but *please* do not insult vegetarians or say that they are stupid, since some of you seem borderline to that.
P.S: Doggie<3er, there are only lots of animals like cows because we breed them like crazy. If we stopped eating them and stopped breeding them to eat, there would be less and the population would be under control.

Did you know plants are living organisisms (sp?) as well? Yeah...they have a life too. Maybe not as fun and dramatic as ours, but they are still alive. They eat, breathe, and live just like us. They may not be meat, but still, they are alive. Also, I would eat dog only as a last resort. Say if my family ran broke and we had exactly no money left. Also, we are animals too. Our population over the whole world including the 4 leggers (such as horse,rabbit, dog, etc.) is enormous.

You wouldn't *die* if you ate only plants. I mean, I'm a vegetarian, and I'm not dying. I'm perfectly fine, maybe even better than before. In fact, being a vegetarian is healthier for you, because there is a lot of fat in meat.

Sure, plants are living organisms, but they don't have a nervous system, therefore they cannot feel pain. Plus, without plants, what were us vegetarians supposed to eat?

If a family member rally close to you was seriously ill and they had no cure for it because animal testing was banned for some reason then wouldnt you wish it wasnt banned??
Yes allot of animals die from it but if its banned then allot of humans can die.

I would like to post something about being vegatarian.
I tried to be a vegatarian and it pretty much lasted for about a week.I was pretty comited to it untill my mom explained to me that yes it does complete the circle of life.No when we die we arent slaughtered and cut into pieces,but living orginisums (cant spell today) do eat us.When we are burried after we die we get eaten.Yes its not as dramatic as what we do to cows,pigs ect. But its the circle of life.Allot of people probally disagree with me but its just my opinion.And I am not saying that anyone who is a vegatarian is stupid and doesnt know what they`re doing because I know what it feels like to be called stupid for something you are really commited to.Please dont missinturpret (spelling) what I am trying to say.

My answer in the poll was the first answer.I do find it wrong and It hurts me to see on the tv when my mom watches that ASPCA stuff the starving hurt and neglected animals.
