I dont listen to any of it cuz it is not scientifictly proven. and some of yall saying watch out in 30 years or so, how would you know that unless you see into the future or something!
It's projected research from top scientists. Only 2 percent of scientists don't believe in global warming. Those numbers aren't that good for skeptics.
People, the evidence is right in front of you. You might want to open those eyes of yours and see the truth. Try going to Alaska, where trees are destroyed because of parasites that thrive on the abnormally warm weather. Watch the Weather Channel during the summer and see record highs. Maybe pop in "An Inconvenient Truth" and see professional graphs on a serious problem that the Earth is facing.
Knuckles, little changes are what saves the Earth. If we stop one car dealership from opening, think of how much materials for building cars we'd save. Trees, they take away up thousands of tons of CO2 from the atmosphere. The little things, they count almost as much as big things.
Here's a bit of an article that may change your mind, top scientists from around the world talking about climate change.
Quote:
Washington -- As delegates gather for the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Bali, Indonesia, the stakes could not be higher. The Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) makes it clear that global warming is an “unequivocal” reality whose effects now are being felt around the world.
“Climate change is a serious problem, and humans are contributing to it. We are at a critical moment,” Under Secretary of State Paula Dobriansky recently told the U.S. Congress. “We are committed to doing our part.”
“We seek a ‘Bali Road Map’ that will advance negotiations” under the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), to be in place by 2009, she said. Dobriansky leads the U.S. delegation to Bali, which also includes senior climate negotiator Harlan Watson.
Greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide, produced by human activity are major contributors to global warming, according to the IPCC report. Reducing emissions is critical for conservation of the global environment. Irreversible effects of global warming already have been seen, but scientists say that prompt action can stop many more negative effects.
Habitat degradation and losses of up to 30 percent of plant and animal species and a 1.4 meter sea level rise by 2100 are among the potential impacts of climate change, the report says. Crop production will be affected; large human migrations will occur. The developing world is most vulnerable.
I can't tell you people how frustrated I am with skeptics.

And didnt God also say he would never flood the earth ever again and sent the rainbow as a reminder
This is out of God's control, it's our job to save this Earth from the horror we are facing right now. This is the time when Science should be our guide to a brighter future. Religion is important but Science is the main component right now. It just isn't going to work in this time.
Humans are the dominant species of Earth, as I have been reminded, and therefore we must take control of the situation and save this Earth. With great power comes great responsibility. Don't you people see that? Aren't you told that almost everyday?

[quote=1turtle12;10706]I agree that we have to save the Earth, and it's in danger, but God still controls everything.[/QUOTE
I completely agree with you.
And PowerGirl yea they may be TOP SCIENTIST but how many of them are christians and religios. I dont believe that God would let us suffer that way and mabye this is just a warning of some sort that Jesus will be coming to take us to Heaven soon and to warn people to except him in your heart
so I believe this is a happy reminder
So you think it's a happy reminder to be causing thousands of animals species to go extinct, destroying habitats, causing developing countries to die?
What about the people that don't believe in Jesus? I'm Jewish. In the bible, it says to "Love Thy Neighbor", am I not correct? What if this neighbor is not Christian? Does that mean they will die from what other people do? Are the Christians just going to keep driving their gas guzzling SUVs because they believe a dead person will come back to life and save them all? What about during the black plague when they though Jesus was going to come back and save them? Millions died, no Jesus.
I'm sorry but, you really have to check reality for a minute. Global warming is already causing horrible effects. Don't you think that Jesus would have come by now if he was to come at all?

PowerGirl is correct. The majority of scientists support the Global Warming theory, along with many other noteable people around the world. Not to mention the community of people that are actually trying to stop our planet from becoming an environment that doesn't support us or the plants and animals that share the Earth with us. Just read a few articles, maybe you'll come to realize just how much science does, indeed, back this up.
And I don't believe religion plays a big part in this. I am Christian, a Methodist, actually, but I do not think this is a "happy reminder." God will aid us, but he will not do anything for us all the way. God wants us to learn to do things and overcome the problems of life without him doing all the work. Even if you do not believe in global warming you should at least open your eyes and look around. The world becomes closer and closer to becoming all concrete every day. Animals are dying. It's not that hard to stop this. If everyone on Earth took a few small steps to be energy efficient Global Warming affects would reduce dramatically.
