My answer: The Internet. This is partly for selfish reasons - the internet has taught me more than anyone or anything else - for that reason it is the most important invention that has an effect on my life. What is the greatest invention in your opinion and why?

Well..the internet *has* taught me a lot...

But I think the greatest invention would be books/writing. I love them both to death.

I would say that the greatest invention would be electricity. Although that's more of a discovery. Then in that case, the greatest invention would be the machine, because books, computers, and pretty much everything else can be made by machine. Then again, there are tons of different machines. Then in that case... the greatest invention would be writing. Because everything really sprouted from the ability to write. Such as reading, and it also makes the internet possible. And computers, and electricity. So people could take notes on science-ie stuff.

I agree with ainegue, Without electricity we wouldn't have the computer which would mean no internet, tv, cellphones, and countless others.

The most recent invention that i believe is important was the TV, and internet. Because without them, The world just might be in shambles.

I think the most important inventions came early. because without them we wouldn't have all these thousands of objects in our house's.

I would have to go with refrigeration. As much as I love reading and surfing online, a cold soda and the ability to freeze foods are so much better. Ice cream anyone?

Okay so as the mom of a 1 year old I just HAVE to go with disposable diapers lol There is no way in heck I would be washing out those #2 babies! I would be throwing a lot of clothes in the garbage which would cost a small fortune lol

literature. I would be fine living without electricity as long as I had a book to keep me occupied. Though I would miss the Internet A LOT I still think I could live without it if I had to.
