literature. I would be fine living without electricity as long as I had a book to keep me occupied. Though I would miss the Internet A LOT I still think I could live without it if I had to.
Yes, but without electricity you couldn't have book making machines, and all books would have to be written in hand or by some other slow way, and it would cause a book shortage, and thus you wouldn't be able to find books anyway.

id have to say the greatest invention would have to be.... actually its really hard to pick! there are soo many good ones! cause, cell phones and iPods are really neat, but then there is like, the internet, refridgeration.... and heating and AC's. but there are alot of good ones.... rollercoasters are cool too.

paper is a good invention too, but I don't think it's nearly as important as electricity

The greatest invention... books are awesome, but I also have to say that the air plane is pretty amazing. And who ever invented DVD's and the computer had a great idea. Oh, I know what i'll say. The greatest invention is LANGUAGES! If there wasn't a way to speak, then there probably couldn't be any of those other things, at least not books or a computer. Or movies or music. So that is what I say!
