Ok i found this advice the other day and worked great!!!!

You just "take a small section of hair and place the iron towards the root of your hair.
With your other hand, wrap the section of hair once around the iron and slowly drag the iron through your hair – similar to the way you would curl a ribbon with scissors.
After the iron is all the way pulled through your hair, use your fingers to twirl the hair into a curl.
Separate the curls with your fingers – but do NOT brush them out – and then spritz with a light mist of your favorite hairspray to set the style. "

Hope this helps!

well i have naturally curly hair, i try to embrace it, and when i do, it ends up looking really good

n e ways, without n e thing electrical?? i can help u with that. there is this little thing called a sponge curler. it may be called something different in america, but here we call it sponge curlers. N e ways, when your hair is wet, you take a sponge curler and wrap your hair around it. then attach it with the wires attached to the sponge curler. sleep with them on, or wait a while to air dry. don't blow dry it tho!! when you take out the curlers, curls should bounce down!! Voila!!!! (sp?) no electricity involved
