I just love adding more:

*The name Jeep came from the abbreviation used in the army for the "General Purpose" vehicle, G.P.

*It's against the law in Chicago to eat in a place that is on fire. (That sounds sensible.)

*Monkeys are the only animals that eat bananas. (Well, besides humans, but I guess we don't call ourselves animals now do we?)

*10,000 times you have to change a baby's diaper until it learns how to go to the bathroom itself. (Lilytheyellowluver, this is for your mother. )

*If your family could use only renewable energy for all your energy needs, you could help reduce the amount of emissions in the air each year by 20,000 pounds of carbon dioxide, 70 pounds of sulfur dioxide and 50 pounds of nitrogen oxide.

*An albatross can sleep while it flies. It apparently dozes while cruising at 25 mph.

*A chimpanzee can learn to recognize itself in a mirror, but monkeys can't.

*Eskimos use refrigerators to keep food from freezing

*Beaver teeth are so sharp that Native Americans once used them as knife blades.

*A rat can last longer without water than a camel can.

*When Albert Einstein died, his final words died with him. The nurse at his side didn't understand German.

Thanks PowerGirl ill tell her that

and the albert einstien thing.... thats sad. but why would you have a nurse who can't even understand what the patient is saying, there? like what if he said may i have some water please? i guess she would just stand there.... the nurse should probably understand what native tounge the patient is.
Well now i can't post anything in this thread without any facts now can i? here are some:

*an iguana can stay underwater for 28 min

*The cheetah is the only can in the world that can't retract its claws

*The phrase "rule of thumb" is derived from an old English law which stated that you couldn't beat your wife with anything wider than your thumb.

*a praying mantis will eat a black widow spider

*There are four cars and eleven light posts on the back of a ten-dollar bill

*There is a an island of plastic and trash floating in the Pacific ocean that is twice the size of Texas. (thats EXTREMELY sad)

oh i found one more i thought was funny:

*It is commonly understood that Paul Revere said "The british are coming, the british are coming."

However, Revere never said "The British are coming," this would have made no sense at the time since they considered themselves British.

Revere instead said, "The Regulars are coming out! The Regulars are coming out!" But, that doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

The reason why people mount a horse from it's left side is because in the old days when men carried swords they were worn on their left side so it would be hard to mount a horse on the right side with a sword in the way as you swung over into the saddle.
