I'm Emerald.Star, and...Betweentalk doesn't have chat speak..whatever that is Anyway, the boards are pretty simple. All you do is choose a catogory to post in, then a thread, (like this) and post! There's also and arcade, which you can enter by posting once a day, then clicking either on one of the games or the button at the top next to Twighlight Shores RPG. PMing is like sending someone a message, which you can do if you click on someone's username and click ' Send PM '. You can also post blogs, which used to be userpages. Blogs are like the forum, except you can post things a little more off topic. Last but not least, you'll find FAQ's at the very top toolbar.

Chatspeak is acronyms like ttyl, lol, p911...etc.

And Renee, there are a lot of young kids here who can't type that fast, so they use chat speak. Even though I'm not too fond of it if used excessively, you can't really stop people from talking that way, especially kids as young as 8!

Hey, welcome to BTT! as emeraldstar said you go to one of the categories on the home page. You click one, you look for a thread that you find interesting and you post what you think about it. Their are rules here and the Mods and ads will be watch what you post so ........watch what you post! My name is Marlyn. You'll be able to make lots of friends here. Also there is an arcade so you can do something else than post on thread (i'm not saying that this is boring). The newest games are from easter, to me the best one is easter Eggs so try it. Oh and you can start a thread if you'd like. Not most threads become that popular so don't get disappointed if you don't get 77 views in the first few minutes (I've mad that mistake). Hope you have fun here in BTT, if you need any help with ANYTHING just ask the mods Power, Looneylovegood13, Knuckles (although he's not on that much) and somebody else that I forgot. You can also talk to the ads Holly, Mrs. Mom (I think she left though, I'm confused so don't ask me) Tinkerbell, Cjhoops, and maybe somebody.
