The Kid Testing Panel has some awesome new music to share from your favorites…from The Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Mitchell Musso. There is a music video contest to enter at Disney and how cool would that be if someone from BeTweenTalk won it?

Here is the official news on the promotion! Go get your music now! We really enjoyed listening to the CD’s and found that our family favorites were the Mitchell Musso song and the one by Steve Rushton.
Disney.com announced today the launch of U Rock 2, a stand-out promotion that gives fans the opportunity to create their own music videos set to songs from popular Disney artists and post their original videos on the U Rock site (www.Disney.com/URock). The most popular U Rock video finalists, voted on by fans, will win the ultimate rock star experience including a trip to Los Angeles, an in-studio “take over” at Radio Disney, a visit to the set of a Disney Channel show, and more.
This is the second annual U Rock event on Disney.com. In 2008 thousands of fan videos were uploaded and millions of fans rated and commented on their favorite videos. New this year, fans will be able to watch and vote for their favorite videos via mobile phone by texting UROCK to DISNEY (347639).*
Song selections that can be downloaded from the U Rock 2 site include:
- “One And The Same” by Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez from the Disney Channel Playlist CD, with exclusive music video available on the Princess Protection Program DVD
- “Paranoid“ by Jonas Brothers from their upcoming album “Lies, Vines and Trying Times”
- “Hey” by Mitchel Musso from his self-titled album “Mitchel Musso”
- “Ready to Rock” by Steve Rushton featured in the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures’ film“G-Force”
Fans can upload videos on Disney.com now through July 12, 2009. Finalists in each of the U Rock 2 categories will be announced on July 17, 2009 and fans can then vote for their top video picks through July 31, 2009. Voting categories include “Rock of Fame” which will be awarded to the best overall video for each song, “Tricked Out” recognizing the video with the best graphics, editing and special effects, ”Sweet Groove All Star” recognizing the fan with the best dance moves, “Mega Pipes” which honors best singing and “Aww…some!” which highlights the cutest rockers.

Q: In the film, your character, Mike, goes back in time to relive his “glory days.” Now that you’re 21, what would you love to relive from the year you were 17? A: I remember so many good times. Me and five of my very close friends had an improv troupe, and we traveled across the country to perform in competitions. Also, I was doing speech and debate when I was 17. That was very fun. The highlight was probably taking second place at Berkeley, which is a pretty big competition. Q: When Mike first goes back to high school, he’s kind of dorky and doesn’t fit in. Have you ever felt that way in real life? A: Completely. High school is one of those weird times in your life when you become hyperaware of where you are in the social hierarchy. It was my sophomore year when I realized I wasn’t at all the coolest kid in school. I didn’t want to be — I was more focused on grades and things like that. I had my core group of friends, and we were inseparable. Q: Matthew Perry of TV’s Friends fame plays the older version of your character. Did you find yourself mimicking him, or did you keep your character separate? A: A little of both. Definitely the hardest thing to imagine was what Matthew would have been like as a 17-year-old, and that was fun to figure out. Talking with him on set, I got the feeling all his amazing wit and incredible timing and trademark smirk would have been more animated as a teenager, so that was the creative license to do an off version of Matthew. That’s what I did. I kind of just hung out with him, got a sense of his personality. 17 Again opens in the United States on April 17, 2009. |

Ireland Calling Lightning-fast Blast Doin’ Some Damage Storm Chasers The Forecast |

We seriously don’t know one girl who isn’t gaga over Zac Efron. Our fave leading man goes back to school for his new flick 17 Again, but it’s a far cry from East High. In this “you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone” comedy, Zac flexes his funny bone and…well, we’ll let him fill ya in on the rest.

In case you haven’t heard the name, Celtic Thunder is a group of five male vocalists from Ireland who belt out traditional Irish tunes, as well as some originals and modern classics — and they’re rapidly gaining popularity. We caught up with Damian, the youngest cutie of the clan, as he and his bandmates storm the States.
