Ooooh, Team Mom sent us the coolest 400 piece tub of K’NEX to play with. We love K’NEX in this house. The tub came with a model book of over 20 super cool things to make. What we really love about them is that the play nicely with Lego’s so you make all sorts of cool stuff. We sat down as a family and made a hot air balloon with the set.

We had a lot of fun playing with these. If you love K’NEX too you can ask your parents if you can participate in the K”NEXion video contest. Would love to see someone from BTT win it!
Ben 10: Alien Swarm

I am a big Ben 10 fan so I was excited to get to preview the Ben 10: Alien Swarm movie this weekend. It is coming out this Wednesday on Cartoon Network so as long as you have this channel you will be able to see it for FREE! It should be on at 7 pm EST.

This movie is different from the Ben 10: Alien Force cartoon usually shown because it is not animated. This is the second Ben 10 film and it is so much better than Ben 10: Race Against Time. In this movie Ben works with his friends Gwen and Kevin to fight the bad guys and help a girl name Elena. Ben turns into some very cool aliens and most of the bad guys are insects. My favorite alien is Humungousaur. Here he is in my favorite scene of the movie.

I have watched this 3 times already this weekend. Make sure that you watch this on Wednesday and check out the Ben 10 official website for more cool stuff. Come tell me what you think about it once you have seen it!
Check the cool pictures from the premiere that was held on Nov. 18th in LA.

Just wanted to let you all know that tomorrow is McHappy Day! When customers visit participating McDonald’s restaurants this Friday, November 20, $1 from the sale of select menu items will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities. This charity is important to us here at BeTweenTalk because Ronald McDonald Houses across America have helped many of our friends stay close to their kids during times of surgeries and illness. For more ways on how McHappy Day helps kids across the world, go to the McHappy Day site.
If there was ever a day to ask your parents for McDonalds, tomorrow is it!
Kobe Doin’ Work

When ESPN/Disney sent this Denver Nuggets, Carmelo Anthony worshiping, family a video about Kobe Bryant we were skeptical to say the least. Let’s just the Lakers defeat of the Nuggets in the Final Four last year is still a hard pill to swallow! But I have to say that we did end up really liking the movie. Spike Lee directs it and he did a really good of showing us what life is like as a professional basketball player. These guys play hard. Kobe works hard. Kobe really does lead the Lakers! I learned a lot about different parts of the game and the triangle offense finally makes sense to me!
Here is a quick look at it:
So, do we recommend it?
YES for Kobe fans
YES for Lakers fans
YES for basketball fans
YES for sports fans
YES for Spike Lee fans
Even this Nuggets fan can appreciate a great basketball documentary!
It is TV14 because of some of the language. The movie doesn’t filter out the words they use on the court.
So, You Want to Start Playing Halo 3?

I’m going to give you s
ome of my tips to start playing Halo 3.
When I first started to play Halo 3 I had no idea what I was doing. Right now im going to give you the advantage of knowing how to get good at Halo 3. First off, you’re going to want to only play custom games until you get good. The reason for that is if you go play matchmaking when you don’t know what youre doing you are going to make it much harder to rank up later. In the custom games you are going to want to play with no radar, with a battle rifle and a sniper rifle. This will help you tremendously later on. Once you feel you are getting really good you should start playing matchmaking. The best playlists to go in to hone your skills are MLG, Team Snipers, and Team Doubles. Basically this is all you need to know to get better at Halo 3.
Xbox Headset Experience

Do you really need to pay $300 for an xbox headset? Well, it depends on the games you play and the level of gamer you are. When I first started playing Halo 3, I just used the wired and wireless headset made by Microsoft. They are both a good fit if you are a casual gamer playing for fun. But, they do break rather really easily. For instance i was playing Halo 3 one time and tried to take my wired headset off and when i was about to take it off i basically chopped it in half. Plus I’ve had also had a bad experience with the wireless headset. I was just playing on the Xbox 360 and it randomly died out and completely broke. Definitely get the wired headset if you are a casual gamer as these last a lot longer but can break easy if you are not careful with it.
But if you are a really competitive gamer the xbox headsets are definitely not a good fit.
Ive heard a lot of good reviews on the Turtle beach headsets because of their sound quality. I have gotten really good at Halo 3 and am looking to start participating in tournaments, But sadly I don’t have anything but the xbox headsets. However there is one headset that is really cool looking, [especially in white] , has great sound quality and provides everything a competitive gamer needs in a headset, The ASTRO A40’s . All the top pros in gaming have these headsets so they can hear when people are coming up behind them. They are rather expensive but if you have the money to buy it you should get it. Unfortunately I cant afford to buy them right now, but i seriously am in love with these things. Well that pretty much sums up my Xbox headset experience. ASTRO A40’s are the way to go if you are a serious gamer.
