I've been writing a lot while I was banned, so here goes the WHOLE story:


Camp Friendship
Alexis' Best Year


Chapter One

I ran out of class screaming with excitement! "YEAH!!!!!" I screamed. I ran to Matt and hugged him. He picked me up and spun me around,"We did it Lexi!" he yelled, still spinning me. I smiled when he put me down,"Finally! We're going to be seventh graders!" He smiled. I did my famous hair flip and he laughed,"I gotta go find Kyle! Get me when you wanna leave, all of us can walk home together. See ya!" Then he ran off. By "all" he meant our gang, me, him, Missy, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Vanessa, Eric, Tony, Zac, and Sheena. I smiled, Matt is so cool! I remember when we first became friends in first grade when he complimented on my purple Nikes. Whiœle I was having a flashback, someone jumped on my back and screamed. I closed my eyes and turned around, it was my best friend, Missy. I yelled, "Missy!!!! Girl, we did it!" She screamed,"Eeep! That was, like, the longest year ever Lexi!" We hugged and jumped up and down. Then, Kaitlyn and Vanessa came running toward us, screaming also. Missy and I laughed. Kaitlyn hugged me tightly,"YES! YES! YES!" I pretended to gasp for air,"Can't.....breathe," I said while she hugged me. She let go and giggled,"Sorry Lex, I'm just so excited!!" We smiled at each other and hugged some more. Missy said, kind of annoyed,"Excuse me!" Kaitlyn and I looked at her, she had her hands on her hips, mouth open, and closed eyes. Kaitlyn giggled,"Sorry Missy! I can't BELIEVE I forgot you." Missy glared at Kaitlyn, then laughed,"Come to me sistah!" Kaitlyn laughed and ran to hug Missy.
Hold up let me back up. My name is Alexis Jessica Caleb, I'm 12 years old, and I just graduated from 6th grade!
I walked over to Vanessa and hugged her,"Ness! I have been waiting to say this all year! We....are....SEVENTH GRADERS!!!! Woo-hoo!!!!" She squealed loudly and we all laughed. I smiled at my friends and thought of how we first met. I met Vanessa and Kaitlyn in Kindergarten, they were best friends already because they've known each other ever since they both started doing gymnastics. I met Missy in second grade. She was sitting all alone at recess because she was new, I walked up to her and said "I like your french braids, are you french?" she laughed and said no, then I invited her to play with Kaitlyn, Vanessa and me. Since then, Missy and I have been best buds! I forget how I met Sheena, but we've friends forever! Then I heard a squeal, I turned around thinking it would be Vanessa, but it was Sheena! "Lexi!" she yelled, we hugged and sang,"We are seventh graders! We are seventh graders! Oh yeah! Uh-huh! We rock!" We finished singing and laughed. I asked them,"You guys wanna come over to my place and hang out?" Vanessa and Kaitlyn looked at each other and Kaitlyn bit her lip, then said,"Uh...actually Alexis, Nessa and I were gonna hang out together...so...ummm....we can't. Sorry." I smiled,"That's okay! You guys go hang out!" They smiled and hugged me,"See ya!" They both said, waved, and ran off, laughing. I shrugged,"What about you guys?" Sheena's boyfriend, Michael, ran up to her and hugged her,"Hey!" he said, still hugging Shenna. "Ready to go?" I frowned,"Go where?" Sheena looked at Michael and smiled,"Lexi...actually...I made plans with Michael to go see a movie, so I can't come either. Sorry." She looked at me with sad eyes and I laughed,"Whatever. You two lovebirds go have..." Sheena grabbed Michael's hand,"Thanks! Bye!" then they ran off. "...fun," I said, finishing my sentence. I turned to Missy,"Do you have some plans I don't know about?" She looked down,"Actually..." I cut her off,"Oh, come on!" She giggled,"I'm just kidding!" I looked at her,"NOT funny." She rolled her eyes,"Geez, have a sense of humor." I shook my head,"Whatever, let's go find the guys!"
I called Matt,"Hey Alexis!" he said. I put my finger in my left ear so I could hear through my right,"Hey Matt. Who are you with?" He said,"Umm...I'm with Kyle and Zac." I nodded,"Good, wait, where are Eric and Tony?" He laughed,"Oh sorry, Zac just mooned someone, they're at football practice. Can you come meet us at Room 140?" He laughed again. I rolled my eyes,"Okay, eew, tell Zac to stop! Missy and I will meet you there in a few." He said,"Look, gotta go, see you here!" "Bye," I said, then hung up. Missy asked me,"What happened to Zac?" I rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out,"He mooned someone!" She closed her eyes and shook her head,"Eew! That's totally nasty!" I nodded,"I know! That's exactly what I said!" We giggled and she asked,"Where are they?" I told her,"Room 140." She rolled her eyes,"I hate that room! Mr. Calaberi is so mean to me, personally!" I raised an eyebrow,"Oh, boo-hoo! Come on!" We started to walk to Room 140. Missy's nodded,"I'm serious! He, like, totally hates me, dude! My mom checked my homework, and she's a stinkin' teacher, and she said it was right, and he gave me an F!" I laughed,"That's because your mom's a history teacher and Mr. Calaberi teaches math!" She rolled her eyes,"Whatever! I just know he hates me Leelee!" I glared at her,"You know I hate when you call me that!" She smiled,"That's the point!" I raised an eyebrow and ran ahead of her. I heard her groan, then she ran up to me,"I'm sorry Alex! Forgive me?" I stopped and looked away,"I don't know." I could practically hear her twisting her hair around her finger, she always did that when she felt bad, or when she was thinking really hard. I looked up and saw her looking down, I smiled,"Of course I forgive you Miss!" She looked up and I saw her eyes looked sad,"Really?" I hugged her,"Of course." I heard her sniffle, I got out of the hug and looked at her,"Missy? What's wrong? Why are you crying?" She sighed,"I don't know...it's just...I just hate when I trick you into thinking I'm crying! Oh Lexi, I just hate when we fight, forgive me?" She said with sarcasm in her voice. I rolled my eyes,"You're such a dork!" She smiled and said,"Yep, but I'm YOUR dork!" I smiled at her and grabbed her hand,"C'mon! We're gotta go find the guys!"
When we finally found them, they were just lounging around and talking. Missy went up to Zac and kissed him on the lips, did I mention that they were dating? First Zac broke up with Michelle, this girl in our class, then he started dating Missy. After their very long lip-lock, Missy slapped him. Zac grabbed his cheek and asked,"What was that for?" She smiled, hands on her hips, and said,"Don't moon people! It's very rude!" Then she flipped her hair and walked over to me, smiling. I giggled and high-fived her. Matt came up to me,"Where do you wanna go, Alex?" I looked up, "I don't know! Where do you guys wanna go?" Then my phone rang, I held a finger up and my friends nodded. I got my Razr out of my Gucci purse,
"Hello?"
"Hey honey! Where are you?" It was my mom.
"Hi Mom! I'm still at school!"
"Oh...well were you planning on going anywhere?"
"Well, actually, ye..."
"Well, I have to come pick you up!"
"What? But I was going to hang out with Matt...." I blushed when I realized that I had only said Matt. "I...uh...I mean I was going to hang out with my friends!"
"No, Alexis. You have to come home, I'm coming to pick you up, I'll be there in two minutes."
"But.....ma...ma....Mom?! No! Why?!"
"Honey! No. That's final!"
Then she hung up. I frowned and angrily put my phone away. Matt looked at me and asked,"What's wrong? Fight with your mom?" I rolled my eyes,"Not exactly, look, guys, I'm really sorry, my mom just told me she has to pick me up now, so gotta go." I waved at them quickly and turned around. Missy ran to my side and held my hand,"Lexi, your mom wouldn't be mad if I came to your house too, would she?" I laughed and said,"Of course not! You're like her daughter too!" She smiled. "C'mon Miss! Let's go!" I told her and we raced off.


Chapter Two
When we got to my mom's car, I opened the door and waved,"Hey Mom!" She smiled at me,"Hey honey...." When she saw Missy, she smiled and waved,"Oh....hello Missy! How are you?" Missy waved and smiled,"Hey, Mrs.Caleb, I'm fine, you?" My mom smiled,"Oh, I'm doing just fine! How's your mother?" Missy twirled her hair around her finger,"Oh...she's doing just fine, she still has that cold she got last week." My mom looked thoughtfully at Missy,"Oh, I should get her a gift basket! I know she loves those!" Missy laughed. My mom smiled and told me,"Get in the car honey." I smiled at her and looked at Missy, she opened her eyes wide and tilted her head in the direction of my mom. "Oh...well...actually....um....Mom, I was thinking that maybe Missy could come home with us? Please?" My mom looked at Missy and said,"I'm sorry, Missy, that's not gonna work out because I need to talk to Alexis alone." Missy smiled and nodded,"That's okay! I understand, well I better get back to the guys!" She waved while I got in the car,"I'll call you later," I said, then I shut the door and crossed my arms. My mom started up the car and rolled down the window,"Tell your mother I said hi, I hope she gets better!" Missy smiled, nodded, then ran off to go meet the boys.
I looked away from my mom,"I don't get why she couldn't come with us," I said, still looking away from my mother. My mom sighed and started to drive,"Honey, I just need to talk to you at home." I rolled my eyes,"Whatever. I understand."
For the rest of the drive home, I told my mom about my day at school, and how Zac had given someone an atomic wedgie. She frowned and said,"That's mean, and immature!"
When we finally pulled into our driveway, I got out of the car, and asked my mom,"Are Lena and Rachel home?" Lena and Rachel are my two older sisters. Lena was a Junior in high school, and Rachel was a Freshman, but now Lena's a Senior, and Rachel's a Sophomore. "Lena's home but I have to go pick up Rachel at 4...." she looked at her watch,"and it's already 3:30!" My mom opened the front door and put her purse on the counter.
This is what my house looks like, when you first walk in the front door, there's the kitchen, then if you make a left, there's a big room, that's our dining room. If you go back into the kitchen and walk straight from the front door, there's our living room, then my parents' study, the computer room, and two bathrooms. Upstairs, there's my room, my parents' room, Lena's room, and Rachel's room. Each bedroom has a bathroom, a walk-in closet (with the exception of my parents' room which has two walk-in closet's) and a deck. And downstairs, we also have a backyard that has a pool, a hot tub, a grassy area, a grill, an outdoors table, and a trampoline, since Lena's a cheerleader, and she has to practice her flips. And that's pretty much our house, and even though it sounds small to some people, it's really, really, big!
I went into the living room and saw Lena sitting down and watching TV. I sat down next to her and said,"Hey Lenny!" Lena looked at me and smiled,"Hey Alex! How do you like being a seventh grader?" I smiled,"Well technically, I'm not a seventh grader yet, but it's pretty awesome so far! Except for Mom making me skip hanging out with Matt, and his cute face and clothes...." Lena's mouth dropped open,"Oh my God! Why haven't I noticed this before? You totally like Matt!" I frowned at her,"Nuh-uh!" She raised a beautiful eyebrow at me. I shook my head,"No.....no way! Matt and me? Seriously...no!" She shrugged,"Whatever...now leave cuz I'm gonna watch Desperate Housewives!"
She shooed me away with her hand and I rolled my eyes and walked into the kitchen, I saw my mom making herself a sandwhich. "Hey Mama! What did you want to talk to me about?" My mom grabbed my hand and brought me to the dining room, we sat down next to each other and she put her hands in her lap and smiled at me,"Honey....you know how every summer you just stay home and lounge around?" I nodded slowly, where was she going with this? She smiled,"Well, this summer your father an I are going to be in Italy." I smiled,"Mom, that's great!" She smiled back at me and said,"Well..the thing is, Lena's going to that Cheerleading Camp, and Rachel's going to be in New Jersey with her best friend. So that leaves you." I nodded,"Oh, Mom, I don't have a problem staying home for the summer, I mean, I stay by myself for, like, a whole week!" My mom looked at her lap,"But, honey, this is going to be for three months, and your father and I have talked about it and we don't want you home alone for three months...." I nodded,"I could just stay with Missy!" My mom shook her head,"They're going to Cancun together this summer, honey." I frowned,"Then where am I gonna stay?" My mom sighed and looked at me seriously,"Honey, I hate to say it, but, you're gonna be going to camp this summer." I looked at her for a moment, then burst out laughing,"Yeah, sure Mom, good one! Look, I'm gonna go watch some TV." I got up but my mom grabbed my hand and pulled me back down,"Honey, I'm serious, you are going to camp this summer!" I screamed,"Camp?! You can't be serious Mom! I can't survive at camp! You know what, I'm OK with that, at least it's not in another state!" I laughed at the thought of that. My mom bit her lip,"Actually honey, it's in Florida, in um, Miami." My mom looked down and I glared at her,"Miami? How can you send me to a camp in MIAMI? When did you sign the papers?!" She looked down,"Two months ago...honey I'm..." My mouth dropped open,"TWO MONTHS ago?! You didn't tell me for two months?! Oh, is there anything else I don't know, I'm adopted, you're getting rid of me? Well I would rather live with a mom that doesn't lie to me for two months! You know what, I....I hate you!" I screamed and ran to the stairs. Lena turned around from the couch,"Chichi, what's wrong?" I stopped, glared at her and screamed. She rolled her eyes and said,"Whatever." Then she went back to watching Desperate Housewives. I frowned and marched up the stairs, when I got to my bedroom, I slammed my door, jumped on my bed, and buried my face in my pillow.
After yelling at my pillow for about 5 minutes, I got up and went to the computer. I logged on to Instant Messenger and saw that Missy was on.
LexiChex:hey miss
MissKiss411:hey chica, wats up?
LexiChex:oh, nothin much....i guess, except my mom TOTALLY ruined my whole entire summer!
MissKiss411:how? give me info!
LexiChex:well....the thing is...im going to...gulp....camp!
MissKiss411:WHAT?
LexiChex:I kno! I totally screamed at my mom...she won't change her stinking mind!
MissKiss411:Hang in there Lexi, my mom's telling me to get off, she needs to go on...bye!
LexiChex:Wait!! For your new year's resolution, get your own computer!
MissKiss411:Gotcha! Bye!
I signed off and shut down my computer. I decided to go downstairs and get a snack. While I was walking down, I heard someone crying, then I heard Lena say,"It's okay Mom, she didn't mean it, she was just mad." I guess it was my mom crying, I heard her sob and then say,"But she, or you, or even Rachel have never said that you hated me! But I never thought my youngest child would! Never..." sob,".....Alexis!" Lena said,"It's okay Mom, stay here, I'll go talk to her." I ran up the stairs and into my room. I heard Lena running up the stairs, I jumped on my bed and stared at the ceiling. She opened my door and glared at me. She asked,"You happy now?!" I looked at her and raised an eyebrow,"What?" She rolled her eyes,"I mean you, making Mom cry! I can't believe you could yell at her like that, saying you hate her, Alexis, she was trying to make you happy by letting you go to camp and meet new people! She is paying for the frikken' camp Lexi!" I looked at my bed,"But she knows that I can't survive at camp and..." Lena slammed the door behind her and yelled,"Alexis, that's a new low, I'm serious. I mean what the ♥♥♥♥ is wrong with you?! You know what, you are going to that camp, and you better not yell at mom like that again! Now go downstairs and apologize!" I gulped,"But.." She opened the door and pointed at the stairs,"You better go down before I tell all your friends that you like Matt!" I stood up,"You wouldn't! How did you know that?!" She leaned against the wall and smirked,"I didn't, not until now!" My mouth dropped open,"Omigod, that's not true! It just..." She cocked her head to the side and laughed,"Now, I can hold that against you!" I lay back down on my bed and smiled at her,"Now, I'm really not going down!" She picked up my phone and dialed aloud,"223-4839. Hey Lex, you better hurry up before I tell the principle to call everyone and tell them that you like Matt!" I sat up and glared at her,"You wouldn't!" She was about to say something to me but then she spoke into the phone,"Hi, Principle Lock, this is Lena Caleb, and I....oh, I'm doing just fine! How are you?" She paused and then nodded,"Great, now what I called to tell you about was....yeah, high school is way rough...but I need you to call everyone in Alexis' class....YES! I mean...yeah, Rachel's doing fine too!" She shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Okay, listen, please! Okay, what I called to tell you is that I really need you to call everyone in Alexis' class and tell them that she is in love with Ma...." Before she could finish the sentence, I grabbed the phone and hung up. She put her perfectly manicured hands over her open mouth sarcastically,"That was rude, don't you think?" I rolled my eyes and started walking down the stairs.
I breathed out deeply and walked into the kitchen where I saw my mom opening the door, about to go out. I grabbed her arm before she could leave and told her,"Mom, sit down." She looked at me with sad eyes and walked over to the counter chairs and sat down. I sat on the chair next to her and looked deeply into her blue eyes, that was a feature I had gotten from her. She gulped and I felt guilty,"Mom, I didn't mean what I said, I mean, camp? Come on Mom, how could you lie to me for two months?! Well, I was just mad because it came to me by surprise!" I looked up at her. I held her hand,"Mom, do you still love me?" She smiled,"Of course, honey. I could never stop loving you!" She stood up and hugged me. We hugged for at least ten seconds, then stopped when we heard Lena say,"Aw, how cute!" My mom motioned for Lena to join our group hug. Lena walked over and embraced us. My mom got out of the hug and looked at me."Honey, I forgive you. But if you yell at me again, you're grounded," she said seriously. I giggled and stood up. My mom smiled and picked up her bag,"Girls, I have to go pick up Rachel, I'll be home soon!" She opened the door, but stopped halfway through,"If your father gets home before me, tell him to get Chinese food." Lena and I clapped and Mom walked out the door.


Chapter Three
When Mom left, Lena asked me,"Wanna see my new cheer? I nodded,"Sure!" We walked out to the backyard and I sat on the table. She walked over to the grassy area and smiled at me. She clapped her hands and yelled,"Ready? Okay!"
I sat and watched Lena's cheer for ten minutes, and almost fell asleep! Usually I like her cheers, but this one, well, she did the exact same thing over and over! When she asked,"Did you like it?" I got startled! "It's over?!" I asked. She looked confused, I bit my lip,"I mean, I absolutely loved it!" She clapped and walked inside,"I think Dad's home!" she yelled. I stood up and walked inside to see. She was right! My dad was putting his briefcase on the counter. I walked into the kitchen and hugged him,"Hi, daddy!" He smiled at me and took off his coat,"Hey, my new little seventh grader! How was school today?" he asked me. I smiled, then said,"Well, it was pretty good, I'm just so glad it's summer, right?" He laughed,"Where's your mother?" Lena came up and hugged Dad,"She went to go pick up Rachel." He nodded and asked,"Did she say what to get for dinner?" Lena smiled at me,"She said to get Chinese!" Dad laughed,"Well, I know how much you girls love Chinese food, I wouldn't want to disappoint you." Lena smiled at me. Dad went to the kitchen phone and asked,"What do you girls want?" Lena walked put her finger on her lip,"Um....I'll get some lemon chicken." I said,"I'll get some chicken chowmein!" He nodded then started dialing.
Lena grabbed my hand and pulled me into the living room. "Wanna go up to my room? I went shopping today and I got some totally insane clothes!" Lena asked. I nodded. We walked up to her room and closed the door. I walked to her bed and sat down,"I want to see!" I told her. She nodded, walked to her closet, and started changing. While she was, I looked at all of her trophies, she had tons, from cheerleading, soccer, gymnastics, ballet, and lacrosse? "Since when do you play lacrosse?" I asked her. She looked surprised when I asked that,"Uh, I don't play lacrosse! What made you think that?!" I smirked, I knew that she didn't want me to know about this,"Well, I just saw that trophy that says, 'FOR EXCELLENCE IN PLAYING FOR THE JUNIOR GIRLS LACROSSE TEAM' and I just thought that you played lacrosse. Lucky guess?" She looked scared, almost like she was going to barf. She walked over to her trophy shelf, and grabbed the lacrosse trophy,"Oh, that? It's just Melanie's, I'm..I'm holding it for her, you know, for a friend." I stood up and put my hand on my hip,"First of all, you hate Melanie, because she's dating your ex, and second, if it was Melanie's, would it say Lena Caleb on it?" She put the trophy down and looked at me,"Look Chichi, I didn't want anybody but Rachel to know about this, because all my friends think lacrosse is nerdy, but I really like it..." I smiled,"Lenny, if they're really your friends, they won't care what you do!" She shook her head,"Chichi, you do not understand! I'm popular, I'm a cheerleader, I'm dating the best quarterback in the history of ever! Everybody, even people I don't know, care!! They care about what I eat, what I wear, who I date, but most of all, what I do with my life! Just get out, please, I want to be alone!" She put on her shirt and opened the door. "Get out." She pointed to the hallway. "But what about your clothes?" I asked her. She shook her head,"I'm sorry Alexis, I just want to be alone, please...get out!" I sighed, and walked out the door. What to do now? I thought.
I slowly walked to my room. I closed my door, and picked up my fuzzy pink phone. I decided to call Matt. I sat down on my bed and dialed his number, the phone rang. Finally his sister, Sarah, who was fifteen picked up,"Hello?" she sounded like she was chewing gum. "Hi, Sarah! This is Alex...um Alexis I mean, can I talk to Matt?" She answered,"Whatever." I heard her yell,"Matt! You're girlfriend's on the phone!" I blushed. When Matt picked up, he said all lovey-dovey,"Hey baby!" I was about to say,"Hey, Matt!" when I realized what he had said, I chocked. "What?!" He laughed,"Just kidding..kidding!" I sighed a sigh of relief,"You scared me! I thought for a second that you, um..." He laughed,"You thought I liked you? Yeah, like I would ever want to date someone who I've known for most of my life! You got a crazy mind Alex! What you up to?" I felt my heart drop, not like I like him or anything, I think."That's my dad, bye!" then I hung up. Okay, I know I just acted like a total jerk, but I had to! How could he act like a total idiot? Saying he wouldn't even think of dating me? I sighed, "Whatever." I said to myself. I don't even like him, I guess I should call back, but before I picked up the phone, it rang. "Hello?" I asked. I heard a scream. I raised an eyebrow,"Who is this?" I heard another scream, and then Vanessa's voice,"Alexis! Kaitlyn and I have the biggest news ever!" I smiled, I always loved their, "biggest news ever" stories. "I have news too!" I told them, I was going to tell them about camp. "You first!" Kaitlyn said into the phone. I nodded,"Okay!" Through the phone I heard Vanessa ask Kaitlyn,"Why can't we go first?!" Then Kaitlyn said something so quietly that I couldn't hear. "Fine!" Vanessa whispered. I frowned, then started,"Well, I'm going to a camp this summer in Florida!" They both screamed excitedly, then stopped. "What?!" Vanessa asked. Kaitlyn said angrily into the phone, "Florida?! You're going to a camp in Florida?! For the whole summer? Oh, and I guess you didn't even try telling us that?"
