True. . .but one of the jokes was so that "ugly guys would have someone to date", which depicts brunettes as kind of ugly. . .if you think about it. Or at least not as pretty as a blonde. Blondes are depicted as a bit ditsy or dimwitted in blonde jokes, but brunettes are depicted as ugly.

I mean. . .I'm not exactly sure. But that might have something to do with it.
