Okay the chapter is so big I'm cutting it in half. I'll show the other half tomorrow
Chapter 2

No need to tell you about the wedding. Everyone was crying, including me. Everyone was crying tears of joy. But I was crying for a different reason. I was crying tears of pain.
Moving boxes were everywhere since Carol and the Devils were moving in. Everything was finally unpacked. A month ago I had thought I was living in a nightmare, since Mom died and my teacher and I got off on the wrong foot. Wow, I was wrong. That was just the beginning. I kept sinking deeper into my nightmare.
Me and Sarah were in my room studying for our math test. Well, not really studying. We were giggling about what was going on at school. We were laughing and having a good time, when all of a sudden, “Ah!!” I screamed as something toppled over me. Knowing exactly what happened, I caught my breath and managed to yell,”'Megan! Ashley!” They walked into the room with sweet innocent little smiles on their faces. “Yes?” They asked at the same time. A millisecond after they said that, Carol came running into the room. “What the heck happened to you, Kelly?!” Carol exclaimed. Can you guess what happened? Yup, Megan and Ashley's first prank. A net had just fallen from nowhere and I was strapped to the floor. “Carol, look what Megan and Ashley did to me!” I yelled at the top of my lungs. “Kelly do you expect me to believe these sweet, innocent, little eleven-year-olds did this to you? Go to your room. You're grounded for three days,” Carol said sternly. I looked into her piercing eyes and said, “But Carol-”
“But nothing!”
“Can I at least say one thing?”
“Sure.”
“Carol, I'm already in my room.”
“Oh. Right. Well then stay in your room. Sarah I'll call your parents and them you're coming home.”
Sarah nodded. She didn't really talk to anyone but me. She walked out without a word.
“As for you young lady, I expect you to study while you're in your room, because I know that math can't be that funny,” Carol said sarcastically while pulling the net off of me. Ignoring her comment, I blurted out, “You can't just punish me like this! Okay? You're not my mother!” Kelly ran out the door once again with tears streaming down her cheeks.

“Happy –whoa!” Carol said as I woke up the next morning. “Kelly, why am I up here?” There was no way she was going to believe that Megan and Ashley set it up, because no one was over.
“Aw, mom! You ruined it!”
“Ruined what?”
“I was experimenting for a science project-”
“Enough said. Oh, I’m doing a project too.”
“Really? On what?”
“I'm trying to find out my step-daughter's reaction will be she gets grounded until she cuts me down.” Run-on sentence. Like I said, she's not exactly smart.
After I thought this, I reluctantly cut her down, because it was kind of funny.
She sighed. “Have you thought about what you want for your birthday?”
“Well, right now I can’t think of anything,” I said, “but I’ll let you know if I think of something.”

A few hours later, I knew what I wanted.
“Carol!” I yelled.
“Yes?”

“I know what I want. Sort of.”
“What?”
“Let’s go shopping. I’m not exactly sure what I want, but we can browse the shops.”
“That’s fine.”
“Um, can I go with Sarah, too?”
“If it’s okay with her mom, then yes.”
“Cool.”

The next day, we went shopping. We went into a couple of stores, and trust me, I tried on everything I could find, but none of them had what I wanted. Sarah even tried on some goofy looking things. As soon as we were about to leave, I saw a little ball of gold fluff sitting in the window. She opened her big and beautiful brown eyes, looking clueless. It was amazing. She was so little and cute! “Carol, I know what I want!”

* * * * * *

“What do you want to name her?” Carol asked.
“Goldie.”
“Good name.”
Mom smiled as she filled out the adoption form. The woman at the counter gave us instructions on how to feed, groom, and walk her. She said if we had any questions, call them or visit their website, blah, blah, blah.
By now, you should know what I got for my birthday. I got a Golden Retriever!

About three months later, Goldie was huge and she became the family’s best friend. We trained her to do everything, so we took her to the hit TV show, “Animal Idol”, and won like $5,000! She did tricks, flips, jumps, and even danced! I'm going to save the money up for an emergency.

A week later was when my miserable life began. On a hot and sunny day, I came home from the movie theater with Sarah. Everyone was crowded outside of my apartment. I heard fire engines, and there was smoke everywhere. Sarah and I dropped our cups and our jaws, and then tried to find our families. They saw us and waved their hands so we could see them. We dashed up to them as quickly as we could. Carol and Dad were crying. “What happened?” I yelled over the crowd and sirens. “Apparently, someone left their stove on. It shot up in flames in minuets, and burned down the entire apartment!” Carol responded. “What about Goldie, is she hurt?”
“No, we were walking her while this happened. She started barking and dragged us down here.”
“Where are Ashley and Megan?” I asked.
“Why do you think we’re crying? They’re inside!”
I gasped. “I’m going in.” I said dramatically, and then ran inside the building, and started coughing. “Ashley...*cough cough* Megan, *cough*, are you in here?” I collapsed to the ground, coughing from the black smoke. Goldie broke free from the leash and ran as fast as she could to the fire fighters. She kept barking, jumping, and running around in circles until the firemen got the message. They nodded at her, and followed her while gripping the hose. I couldn't see anyone because the smoke was too strong, but I heard footsteps, coughing, and barking. After I heard water blasting out of something and the ambulance sirens whistling like there was no tomorrow, there was a blackout.

Haha I left ya dangling

You'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out what happens....
