Yes, but without electricity you couldn't have book making machines, and all books would have to be written in hand or by some other slow way, and it would cause a book shortage, and thus you wouldn't be able to find books anyway.
Oh yeah, I found this comic. It's possible that the greatest invention could be math, couldn't it?
