These are for Mario Kart Wii.

Start boost (easy): When the 2 is fading away in the countdown, hold down accelerate. You get an extra boost.


Avoiding blue shells (hard): When you see a blue shell coming for you, use a mushroom when the blue shell is just about to hit you, Note that the mushroom is nearly impossible to get while in first place.

Avoiding POW blocks (medium): Just as soon as the POW block is going to stop you, shake your Wii Wheel. You'll get a ring underneath your kart for a short while and will not slow down.
