Okay my issue: Im head over heels in love with a kid 1 year younger than me and he knows... I know I am not pretty but I am nice and all but yet I can't get the guts to ask him out and it didn't help any that my friend told me in all confidentiality that he has a crush on this one girl who I am sorta friends with. Plus if I asked him out I'd ask him out on a group date with my friends from this other school and I'm afraid to do that even looking at he is pretty dorky and I'll be hanging out with a bunch of cool 6th graders who look like high schoolers and their dates who are of course 8th graders so it will make me look worse!
Whatya I do???

First of all, you'll need to establish whether or not he'd be willing to go out with you in the first place. Nothing against you, but judging from the information you provided, it doesn't seem too likely. You said he knows that you like him, so does he get nervous around you or anything?
But I doubt that's what you came here to discuss. If you do ask him out, and he does say yes, then you really have most of your worries over. I really don't see why you would have to ask him to go on a group date with you. You could just ask him to go to the park with you or something. Really, if you two truly like each other, you shouldn't really care about whether or not the other is cool enough. It's probably not as easy as that, but really, if you're that worried of what he'll think, just go somewhere alone with him. Just my two cents.
I don't really know if I have any problems relating to the issue myself. If I could get people to stop thinking I'm *attracted to the same gender* (word is censored. Seriously weak), that would be a nice start to finding someone. But it's only middle school, so I'm not in much of a rush.
