Dork: Dork is a term used to describe someone who has unusual interests and is, at times, silly
(Haha, sounds like me! 
). A dork also usually has the same bookish intelligence that is sometimes considered annoying by peers. Similar to the terms "nerd" and "geek".
Nerd:A Nerd is usually a term to describe a stereotypical bookish intelligent person. They prefer schoolwork and pursue knowledge in school rather than outside knowledge such as outdoor activities and school sports. Because of their lack of social experiences, nerds are often considered "loners".
Geek: The word geek is a slang term, noting individuals as "a peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who is perceived to be overly intellectual".

But if I had to define them from just being smart I would say that they are often times silly, but serious in school situations most of the time and in classrooms. I probably fall into the "dork" category because at home and online I can often be very silly, but at school I am very serious and quiet (I know, GASP!), except when I'm around friends.
