Chapter One

My name is Katie Carlington, and ever since kindergarten, my life hasn't been exactly, let's say, perfect. Today I start high school at Millington High. I'm kind of nervous about it, because I think I'll be teased again. Let me get things straight, I'm in the chess club, I have the worst color hair, it's a mix between red-head and blonde, it's frizzy, I have zits on my forehead, my parents are WAY too over protective, and even though I'm skinny, I get teased because I'm WAY TOO skinny, and to count it all up, I've never had a boyfriend! That's pretty my life. But my sister, Stacy, she's WAY different. She's a cheerleader, she has perfect straight blonde hair, she has NO zits whatsoever, and her boyfriend is THE hottest guy I have ever seen, besides Brad Pitt, I mean.
