By being a religious person you have basically contradicted your own religion. Jesus was supposed to be a kind person. If he was to come down at all then he would take all human beings. Jesus does not discriminate as far as I am concerned.
He did not come down during dire times such as the Black Plague which killed one third of the Earth's population at the time. In this time of need for something to save us, we only need ourselves. We need the whole world. If religion clouds your visions of reality then what is the help of it? If religion is the wool over your eyes...?
Have you ever heard the story of the two girls who were hoping not to be late to school? One girl got on her knees and prayed, the other prayed while running. Which one do you think got her prayer answered?
If we are to stop global warming then we need to solve it ourselves. We cannot rely on God like spoiled kids. Because frankly that is how a lot of people are acting. I don't think that God will save people who do not try to save themselves first.
